CTF flag always invalid

Question

After retrieving the flag from the server, Jade CTF always says the flag is invalid when I want to submit it.

I understood it as that if I do get a flag, this will be a valid flag. Or is it possible that I can submit an incorrect answer and get an invalid flag?

Hi,

Keep in mind that the second CTF has a first intermediary step. There is a flag tied to the first step, which cannot be submitted. You have to continue with the CTF until you retrieve the final flag, which can then be submitted.
